WhiteHat Computer Solutions started in 1997 as a group called Propulsion Systems. The group specialized in the creation of freeware applications. This later evolved into releases of tutorials for the up and coming programmers of the world. At that time the main product of release was a program suite called AD&D Tools. This was a free software package that helped gamers, of the famous Advanced Dungeons and Dragons game, organize and run their games. This program was downloaded over 5000 times in the first three months of its release. The program was available for about a year and had an estimate total of 10000+ downloads.
Between 1997, the start of the freeware group, to 2005, the birth of WhiteHat Computer Solutions; the staff of WhiteHat Computer Solutions have worked independently or as staff to companies such as Convergys®, Ameritech®, Standard Register®, and Network Solutions®.
